Dr. Martin Luther King Day Birthday Bag Collection 2019-2020
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, Sonya initiated a heartfelt project collecting gently used birthday gift bags, toys, and books, along with purchasing boxes of cake and festive birthday hats. Over the course of two years, 100 bags were gathered and donated to children residing in domestic violence and urban housing shelters. This initiative not only celebrated Dr. King's legacy of service but also promoted sustainability and brought joy to children facing challenging circumstances. Together, we can make a difference and spread happiness to those in need.
